La desaparició de basses naturals per causes humanes i pels períodes de sequera, està causant una gran davallada de la població d’amfibis repercutint així a l’equilibri ecològic.
Amb aquesta acció millorarem l’ecosistema de la bassa que vam construir amb les donacions obtingudes l’any anterior, plantant-hi plantes aquàtiques i creant així un hàbitat divers per a amfibis com les salamandres, el gripau corredor, i el gripau comú.

El mussol comú (Athene noctua) és un petit mussol que habita a les zones agrícoles del Pallars Jussà. La intensificació agrícola, la desaparició de les bordes i cabanes (on cria), i l’ús de pesticides que eliminen la seva font d’aliment (els grans insectes), han fet que cada cop sigui una espècie més rara en aquesta zona.
Amb aquesta acció instal·larem caixes niu per crear punts de cria de mussol comú i conscienciar de la importància de preservar aquesta espècie.

El conill és una peça clau per a la supervivència de molts depredadors i la seva raresa a la zona sud del Pallars Jussà ha provocat una disminució alarmant d’alguns d’aquests com ara el duc (Bubo bubo).
Amb aquesta acció construïrem vedrunes (caus artificials) per a millorar l’hàbitat del conill autòcton, i així ajudarem a que les petites poblacions que hi ha per la zona, puguin augmentar i enriquir l’ecosistema.

The actions of the Salvatgines micro-reserve are intended to help “forgotten fauna”, those small animals that often go unnoticed and that are essential for the proper functioning of an ecosystem.
The wood rabbit, the cellar rat, the ocellated lizard, the dark hedgehog, toads, jackdaws, the common owl, and many others, are some of the species that have gone from being quite common to becoming increasingly rare. The reason is due to the modification of habitats as a result of the intensification of agriculture, the disappearance of field margins, the drying up of ponds, the elimination of dry stone walls or the use of pesticides, among others.
From Salvatgines we began to help this “forgotten fauna” in 2023 with the creation of a micro-reserve to create a space dedicated to promoting the populations of these species. We were able to carry out these actions thanks to the donations we received from more than 30 collaborators.
Once the first actions of the project have been achieved, this 2025 we want to continue carrying out habitat improvement actions to continue helping these species, by creating new water points, naturalized ponds, building stone shelters and installing nest boxes.
Actions planned in the micro-reserve:
- Develop habitat management actions to promote wild flora and fauna species.
- Create a pond to promote amphibian breeding.
- Recovery of the forest rabbit as a key species of the ecosystem.
- Installation of nest boxes for the short-eared owl.
