This forest is situated near the village of Naens (Senterada, Pallars Jussà), along the old trail to El Burguet. Once the stewardship agreements with all the local landowners are signed, it is hoped that the micro-reserve will cover around 7 ha.
The aim of this micro-reserve is to conserve the biodiversity and, at the same time, offer visitors a place where activities promoting calm and respectful interaction with the natural world can be organized (nature therapy, yoga, Tai Chi, etc.).
A mixed forest dominated by downy oak (Quercus pubescens), with numerous accompanying species including small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata), hazel (Corylus avellana), wild cherry (Prunus avium), field maple (Acer campestre) and stands of aspen (Populus tremula), the latter the species that gives its name to the micro-reserve. There are many old trees in this forest that add to its biodiversity and generate an evocative landscape full of positive energy, capable of revitalizing all those who enter.
All money donated will be used to maintain the trails and dry-stone walls that run through the space, and to monitor its biodiversity.
The actions planned for 2025 are the following:
- Maintenance of paths in La Tremoluga: 2-day maintenance works in July.
- Wildlife monitoring with trail camera in La Tremoluga: installation of a trail camera in the forest, in a wildlife pathway during 1 month in spring, summer, autumn and winter.
- Wildlife monitoring of nesting boxes in La Tremoluga and maintenance. 3 yearly monitoring actions will be carried out to detect the different species of bats that may use them throughout the year. In autumn, the monitoring will be useful to detect the presence of dormouse in the shelters.
